License Overview
The Factry Historian license governs access to the software’s features and functionality. Key aspects of the licensing model include:
- Organization Scope: A valid license is required for each organization in Factry Historian.
- Collector Creation: Limits on the number of collectors that can be created.

License Expiration
When your license is approaching expiration, a notification will appear within the application. You can also check the expiration date of the licenses from the overview.
Post-expiration Behavior:
Existing functionality remains operational.
No new collectors, calculations, events, or other changes can be made.
All data and configurations remain viewable, but modifications are restricted.
Trial License
If you do not currently have a license, you can explore Factry Historian’s capabilities using the trial license:
- Trial Duration: Provides access to all features for 2 hours.
- Behavior After Expiration:
- Factry Historian will automatically shut down.
- Upon restart, you must select the trial license again to reactivate the application.
This trial mode offers a fully-featured preview of the software, allowing you to evaluate its functionality before committing to a full license.
